Had an absolute blast this weekend at The Hit or Miss Classic!! Due to work obligations I haven’t been able to get any shooting in but decided to go give er hell anyways. Shot a decent qualifier with the exception of one that got away from me and was sitting in second behind @cooperfrencharchery who shot a clean round. I went up against @moose_archery in the shoot off and after a clean end from both of us we pushed to end number 2. As my last shot broke clean I fully expected Moose to drill his last X and we would go on to shoot the last end. At mid draw Moose showed why he was standing on the shoot off line as he let down, called for a bonus 12 (which is either a 12 or a zero if you miss) and smoked it to send me packing! 😂 I have never enjoyed loosing before but I’d be lying if I told you I was hoping he would miss, I was elated when his arrow landed solidly in the 12 ring! If there is one thing I applaud it is nerve and a no fear attitude and let me tell ya, this young man has both!! Couldn’t be more proud of you Moose, you deserved to take that one home! Congratulations buddy!! Also congratulations to Cooper French that was some great shooting bud and to all the other winners! Thank you to @neilandjulee and all the staff at Hit Or Miss for putting on a great tournament! It sure has been a emotional week to remember. For the first time in many years I got to sit and deer hunt and enjoy some time with my brother Jeremy Carlson. He invited me to go sit in the heated blind this morning and I wasnt turning it down. Had allot of action. We saw this one trying to make the slip and all it took was a couple grunts and he was on a dead run for us and before we knew it he was at 20yds. The coyote came through exactly an hour after I arrowed the deer. Definitely gonna be one I remember forever.
